Create Your Account

Get started with HIVE in just a few clicks

Sign Up

  1. Click the "Sign Up" button in the top right corner
  2. Choose to sign up with email or Google
  3. If using email, create a strong password (min. 8 characters)
  4. Verify your email address by clicking the link we send you

Complete Your Profile

  • Add a professional profile photo (recommended: 400x400px)
  • Write a compelling bio (150-300 words)
  • Add your location and timezone
  • Link your social media accounts (optional but recommended)
  • Select your creative category and specializations

Pro Tip

Profiles with photos and complete bios receive 3x more views! Take time to make a great first impression.

Build Your Portfolio

Showcase your best work to attract clients

Add Your First Project

  1. Navigate to Dashboard → Portfolio
  2. Click "Add New Project"
  3. Upload high-quality images (up to 10 per project)
  4. Write a project title and detailed description
  5. Add relevant tags and categories
  6. Include project details: client (if applicable), date, role
  7. Click "Publish" to make it live

Portfolio Best Practices

✓ Do This

  • • Use high-resolution images
  • • Show your best 8-12 projects
  • • Tell the story behind each project
  • • Update regularly with new work
  • • Optimize images for web (under 2MB)

✗ Avoid This

  • • Uploading low-quality images
  • • Including too many similar projects
  • • Leaving descriptions empty
  • • Using copyrighted work without permission
  • • Cluttering with too many projects

Setup Your Booking System

Enable clients to book your services seamlessly

Configure Services

  1. Go to Dashboard → Bookings → Services
  2. Click "Add New Service"
  3. Define service name, description, and duration
  4. Set your pricing (hourly, fixed, or custom)
  5. Upload service images or examples
  6. Set maximum bookings per day (optional)

Set Your Availability

  • Configure your weekly schedule (days and hours)
  • Add buffer time between bookings (recommended: 15-30 min)
  • Set minimum advance notice (e.g., 24 hours)
  • Block out dates for holidays or personal time
  • Sync with Google Calendar or Outlook (optional)

Payment Setup

  1. Connect your Stripe account (or create one)
  2. Verify your bank account for payouts
  3. Choose payment options: full upfront, deposit, or pay later
  4. Set cancellation policy and refund rules
  5. Test the booking flow with a test payment

Pricing Tip

Research competitor pricing in your area. Consider offering a discounted "first booking" rate to attract initial clients and build reviews.

Make Your Profile Public

  1. Go to Profile Settings
  2. Toggle "Profile Visibility" to Public
  3. Choose your custom URL (yourname.hive.nz)
  4. Click "Publish Profile"
