This year, HIMSS Middle East is holding a conference this May 2012 with the 'Connecting People, Potential and Progress' theme. The middle east (ME) is known for many things around the world and health IT is an area they are starting to focus more on. This is conference is of particular interest to me (personally and professionally) and will give some insight into new developments and health IT implementation in the region.
The ME region may be at a different phase in their health IT implementation and use but glancing at the program, you'll find a lot of interesting cross-relevance to New Zealand.
It's good to keep the link handy, especially after the conference, to keep an eye out for any event highlights and presentations posted.
More information from the conference page:
In 2012, the HIMSS Middle East Conference and Health IT Leadership Summit will be where international and regional expert speakers will discuss current challenges and provide insights into potential healthcare IT solutions and future possibilities.
The main focus of this year's Conference will be pioneering healthcare technology and developments to help meet the exponential growth in demand as governments prepare to make major investments into healthcare IT in the Middle East.
Comment by Amgad Farah on March 6, 2012 at 23:22 Thats looks interesting and its held in Abu Dhabi. Maybe I should attend it on my way back from New Zealand. Everyone is trying to make use of technology these days. Trying to make service and processes at the health system more faster and efficient. Wonder if thats hospital some day where people don't have to worry about the hospital system crashing.
Thats why I'm curious about the health informatics paper. What it is? What I might does? How can I embed it in my life and work? Let's wait and see!
