Hi. I'm an academic epidemiologist at the University of Auckland. I trained in clinical medicine in the 1970s, retrained in public health epidemiology in the 1980s, and then taught myself clinical epidemiology in the 1990s when I was asked to teach epidemiology to medical students. I know just call myself an epidemiologist who has interests across the spectrum from clinical practice to public health policy. My main areas of interest in cardiovascular disease epidemiology and teaching epidemiology. I've been doing both now for about 30 years and I'm still enjoying it and learning new things
